All affixes can be being re-rolled right now by selecting them in the upgrade window and pressing the green button. This will cost a certain amount in gold and other items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges, just like the other methods of rerolling.

In addition to Rerolling affixes and rerolls, players can select which of the available stats they want to keep on an item after it is upgraded. The possible stat ranges for an item are based on the level of the item, however every item is guaranteed to have at least 1 stat within the specified range, unless it is a unique item or a God roll from a raid boss.

Item Luck

These can also be increased with the use of anti-materials, such as a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons have an initial Luck value of 40. These items can then be enhanced by golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the type of material used) to give +40 Luck or to boost the luck of an item up to 140.

Certain items, such as the weapon that is infused with hollow, can also be equipped to increase the damage dealt by any ability that causes damage by 5%. These items can be purchased in the shop or created by using the appropriate ingredients.

Item Failure

Upgrades to items can be a costly process and not all upgrades will be successful. Cash shop items can be used to boost the success rate of an upgrade or to prevent players from losing their item in the event that it does not work.

The rate of success of an upgrade can be seen in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the probability of completing the upgrade successfully and it can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. There are limitations on how much the success rates can be improved and the probability of a failed upgrade cannot exceed 100%.

The success of an item can be affected by the luck of the item. Each item has an average success rate of 25%, and every item that has Luck increases that chance by an additional 5%.

Note that item upgrades are rendered above the inventory items which means that enchantment glints and other effects may be obscured by them. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
